Center the Piece

Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and I really need new centerpieces. So this year I'm switching it up. Taking the bold out and applying a softer palette to my table giving it a softer elegant look. Not only can they be used for Thanksgiving but re-use the centerpiece again for Halloween, just change the colour and design...

Two quick DIY projects:

Option 1- paint mini pumpkins with 'chalk paint' choose 3-4 subtle colours and paint each one a different colour, just remember to tape the base of the stems as to keep the stem it's natural colour with clean lines at the base. Just add some pine cones and acorns to a decorative bowl (either picked from the outdoors or if that's not really your thing you can always hit up a craft store and buy them- sometimes those ones come scented- bonus!)

Option 2- Find those albino (Lumina) pumpkins, line them up along the center of the table and wrap them in bittersweet vine. Add a table runner + stagger small votive candles throughout.

Bonus Idea- Spray paint leaves and use a paint pen to create table name "cards" for your Thanksgiving guests, or metallic chalk paint half a mini pumpkin, type initials on a tag and attach with twine. Now your set for an elegant dinner, with a beautiful personal touch.
