Kijiji will be the Death of Me

HAPPY THANKSGIVING WEEKEND!!!!

It's the best time of year, the leaves are changing colours, the air is crisp + smells like autumn aaaand it also happens to be my birthday season. The dirty 30....... I joke that it bothers me, that I'm not in my 20's anymore but truthfully as cliche as it sounds, I'm just extremely grateful that I get to enjoy this moment. I've had too many friends not make it to their 30th. Every day is a gift and I truly believe that. So this weekend I am grateful for the days I have been gifted and the memories I have with all the amazing people in my life.

On that birthday note, I bought myself an early present! Well really I bought myself a project... I love revamping furniture, so I bought a 6 foot sideboard off Kijiji and I'm attempting my first 'chalk paint' project. I ventured over to Malenka's Originals in the burg where they sell Annie Sloan chalk paint. Malenka's is amazing + the women there really know their stuff. Real talk- I needed all the help I could get.

My goal is to finish this project over the weekend, but truthfully there is a lot that goes into 'chalk painting' projects that I wasn't taking into consideration when I started this last night. Here is what the sideboard looks like before, wish me luck!
