Shoes. I want ALL the shoes!
This is how we left our last encounter and I gave you a little glimpse of what we were touching on when it comes to clutter, or de-cluttering for that matter. We don't all have the closet space to have a wall dedicated to our shoes, let alone more then one shoe rack (at least I don't) So I'm in the process now of setting up an old bookshelf to store all those shoes. (Real talk- my husband probably has more shoes than I do!) He has been pestering me for months/years to get rid of these black bookshelves I have in our garage but then I decided to conquer another DIY project! Stay tuned to see how I've turned old ugly bookshelves into the platform to display 'ALL the shoes!' Before + After photos are clearly happening as well, and a detailed description as to how it all went down.
Instead of boring you with just my new shoe shelf though, I thought I would share this little piece of design heaven with you too! This designer is one of my favorites and not because she is on T.V., but because she has amazing taste, and is a trend setter, all while she's slayin' the design world- just love her.

Sarah Richardson! As much as she is a trend setter, she sets trends that are timeless, little tweaks over the years and her designs are still stunning and in style. Check out how she made this tiny space functional, flawless, and clutter free. Having an area that's multi-functional allows for a small space/room to then appear larger. Key points to look for- Height: a floor-to-ceiling storage unit offers lots of shelving and makes the room look larger. Function: the lower section does triple duty as a console, stereo cabinet and desk or dining table for two. Added Storage: The floating shelf above the console serves as a mantel for candles, a place for artwork and keeping clutter above table height.
There you have it, everything wrapped up all in one perfect little functional package.
