Lady Antebellum says it best "It ain't pretty"...because it isn't. The bookshelf/shoe shelf is ugly. Or maybe it's just the garage setting is ugly, either way I really don't want to post a picture, also I didn't have enough shelves so it turned into a snowboard boot shelf ;) and a tool shelf. I also don't know how I ended up with 7+ pairs of snowboard boots, but I did, although they all didn't make the shelf. Against my best wishes, I will show you this ugly photo, I'm not proud of it, but it did de-clutter all those excess boots, bonus!

Unfortunately I still have a "shoe carousel" downstairs in our basement that looks more like the leaning tower of pisa. I now need to take my own advice... or that of Mr. William Morris-“Have nothing in your home that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful.” And let me tell you, that shoe carousel is none of thee above.

Another option which, I'll be doing with all the other shoes that didn't make it the garage, is hanging floating shelves from Ikea! Check out Nate Berkus' design here in Rita Hazan's adorable NYC apartment.

(Note: I spent $0 organizing with bookshelves I already had so do not feel like you need to spend money to organize)

Alright, now that I have pained your eyes with my shoe shelf and soothed them with Nate's, lets take a moment to talk about my new design project!!! I'm starting to piece together our new office. I'm doing it on a budget + there is no time frame for this but if I tell you all about it at least it will hold myself accountable. Here are a few hints as to what it may contain....
