I just became an auntie for the 5th time!!!! All from one beautiful sister. Congratulations to my sista from the same mista! She had an in-home delivery with a midwife, doula + and me in the background on Skype with my daughter, cheering her on. (Ok truthfully, I was balling my eyes out and my daughter was covering her ears asking me "whats happening now?...." every 30 seconds) At 9:59pm a beautiful little bundle was born, Saylor Josephina Marie. She is stunning, and no I'm not bias. :)

I had actually planned on posting something different, but it got me thinking about babies, nursery's + and how to design a gender neutral room... nursery's don't have to be blue or pink anymore, and so many of my friends are having babies without finding out the gender. This doesn't mean you put off designing the nursery, it just mean you get to be even more creative. If you are dead set on having a gender color in the room, leave some wall space to add once baby has arrived.

I've put together a pretty gender neutral scheme (that's not blue...its mint) lol.

Also-I love the sheep prints---->> Hooray for Etsy!

My main goal here was to not allow ones mind to think boy, or girl when looking at the design scheme. Naturally I would assume if there is no pink, its a boy. That just isn't true anymore. So keeping the pallet neutral I used wood, mint* , black, white + brass. The wheelhouse bookshelf is so unique and caught my eye. This can be used as your platform to add some gender definition once baby arrives if you so choose. Add greenery as well and some throw blankets. I kinda want my room to look something like this.... minus the crib, I'll keep my king but the tepee can stay!
